24 February 2014 DREAMS
Have just been rereading Marion Woodman, who has case histories full of dreams. This will form a big part of my workshop on 29 March in Hampstead (firstname.lastname@example.org for details). In my view, any therapist or counsellor who ignores dreams cannot be doing the best job for his or her clients! Dreams form a royal road to the Subtle realm, which is the most accessible level of the Transpersonal. Of course we can work with dreams in a number of different ways – the Gestalt approach is quite different, and the person-centred approach is little known or talked about. But dreams can take us into the unexpected, the fresh, the untapped spaces of our lives, and illuminate the dark places of our psyche. All therapy brings us up against our Shadow, but dreams do it so elegantly!
